Well, since I've been a working mom for all of my kids' lives - I choose SAHM. I am looking forward to finally getting to do that later this year. Ask me again next year, who knows LOL.

This is me, so I can be home when the kids are. It is hard staying home all the time and keeping your sanity, but the rewards are priceless.

I've done both and both are hard, when I worked it was hard to leave my kids everyday (I only had 2 kids at that time). Now that I'm home with them it would be nice to have a break from them.

At this point in my life I can't imagine working outside the home.

Oh- I would TOTALLY pick a SAHM. I've never understand the whole need to get away for the kids argument. Of course I need to get away from the kids but when I do, I want to do something fun, something that I really enjoy, not something I HAVE to do. There may be some jobs I would enjoy for a bit but then they would just become a job to do. Plus, I want to be able to pick what I do when, not be on someone else's schedule. Believe me, when my kids start school, I will have no problem filling my day! Only 1478 more days.....

I am an RN and right now I work 2 weekend days a month. Eventually, ideal for me would be 2 days a week. Not in a row. Maybe like a Tues/Thurs. Just a little bit to break up the week when the kids are all in school.

My perfect world -- I would stay at home with the kids, work part time, and have a nanny and a housekeeper come in while I worked. It would be about a 10 - 20 hours each week job.

Well thats an easy one, Id love to be able to stay at home - if I had the money.
My husband calls me the breadwinner as I make more than him. I love having my own money to spend and I can proudly say that I paid for my car all by myself. I never rub it in that I do make more. As I am happy that he works.

But really who wants to work? Everyone would love to stay home and do what you want to do. Thats why we all play the lottery

One thing I think is important is what stage are you at in your life??? I stayed home with my girls when they were little and LOVED it!!!! But now I LOVE going to work.

ITA, It is scary how alike are answers tend to be.

That's just it. I DO think my job is fun, I DO really enjoy it, it's not something I HAVE to do. A job isn't always just a job. I like the adult time. Talking with other adults, spending time with other adults. Sure if I were a SAHM I could find things to occupy my time while the kids were at school, but I would most likely be doing that alone. What fun is that? I understand the need for SOME alone time, but everyday all day.
