Right now, we are working out the logistics of what to do with the kids, how we can arrange schedules to keep them all covered, etc. If we can work it all out (and minus the two youngest, I think it is easily doable, but I'd really rather not take them either!), I am going to leave Tuesday at lunch and be gone through Sunday. This will get her through the roughest of it that I can be there for, and then leave my dad able to take off for the radiation treatments and side effects. I cannot tell you what the prayers from all of you have done for us. Please keep them going! (and, if you are interested in sending a card, a note, etc, please pm me. Mom would love it, and she can use all the encouragement she can get! She is taking this very very hard. She still has not been able to even talk to me. )

Is this going to be an outpatient, in and out same day thing? (Mine will be, but mine is not nearly as serious). Because then she'll probably go in around 7am and leave around 4, but be asleep the whole time, so the whole gang doesn't need to be there all day. With the radiation and other stuff, though, she'll probably need help for the after effects.

Thank goodness you have the older kids! And raised them so well. They are definitely able to pinch hit for you in this time of need. Prayers sent.
