He is not too thrilled. I am worried because we had a rough start to kindergarten and I really don't want a repeat.
He cried when I dropped him off. He acted out when he was at home.
He had an awesome teacher that made the transition a little smoother, but this year his teacher doesn't seem as compasionate.
Please pray that he does ok. I feel so bad for him when I have to leave at school crying for me

Do you walk him to his classroom? Or maybe ask why he gets upset?
Or is it that he just doesnt want to leave you?

Try telling him to have a fun day at school and you will be there to pick him up afterschool.

I think as the days go by, it shall get easier. At least I hope

I remember last year, when I walked my son to the bus stop, there was a little boy on the bus who cried openly every single morning for his Mom. It was so sad! The bus would pull away, and this little boy would have his face and hands pressed up against the glass, sobbing and obviously not wanting to go to school. Poor little guy.

My son will be in the first grade this year too, at a different school. I worry about him every day, too. I just try not to let him know that! LOL My son is the quiet, shy one who wouldn't hurt a fly. He got picked on a little bit last year in kindergarten and that just broke my heart.

As a mother, we feel so protective, and that is natural. I know that heartache and worry that you must be feeling. I will say a few prayers for your son. Keep us updated as to how he does!
