It always amazes me to see women who have had babies wearing bikinis!! How do they do it? Even when I had the shape (after only 3 kids or so) I had stretch marks up the wazoo and would not be caught dead in a bikini Now that I have had 7 kids, there is no way I have the shape to wear one (not that that stops some people ) Also, I think my kids would be horrified.

All I have to say is that I literally laughed out loud when I read that title. My answer: HECK NO!!! And I don't have the excuse that I've had several kids and I have stretch marks. I'm just pooh-sized. I have come to the point where I realize I will never wear a bathing suit again - and I haven't worn one since I was about 19. And even then, it was on a private lake with a couple of friends - not in public. Hmmm. . can you say "self esteem issues"?

Children and adults would run in fright if I wore a bikini. Some moms look good in them, some should wear a cover up. I also think there should be a weight limit on spandex.

A bikini is just like a driver's license. It is a privilege not a right! And I no longer fit into the privilege category! I'd look the Michelin Man Gone Wild!

I would if I could. I used to before I had kids, and even did a year after DS1 was born, but since DS2, I have the worst pooch ever. In fact, DD likes to tell me how soft and poofy mommys tummy is. Oh, gee thanks, DD!

I literally laughed out loud when I read the title too...and then really let loose when I read TommysMommy's reply!!

NO...I don't wear a bikini. I do wear a bathing suit, though. It's probably not pretty, but my kids will remember that Mom went swimming with them and had fun with them...not that she sat on the sidelines worrying what people she didn't even know would think of her ugly thighs.

NOPE and my dh and I just had this converations since we were at a family outting/gathering and there was a mom with her teen aged daughters on the beach wearing a triangle top bikini and I thought it was wrong. I mean if you are on vacation with you Dh and are having "FUN" then I don't really think it is right for mothers to be out there runnign with their teenagers. IMO it just grosses me out. I am adding that this mother was trying really hard to fit in with her daughters and their friends. I think it was sending the wrong message to the boys that were in the area.
