I am so excited the city is building a small park at the end of our street It use to be an extra old parking lot and small church garden. We were disappointed to see the garden go and thought the church was building a new parking lot but I guess we are getting a surprise It is going to have a play structure and some basketball courts and it is going to have lights for safety. I am just too excited my daughter will be going to a neighborhood school (4 houses away) and we will have a neighborhood playground which will be perfect for when Claire is a toddler

That is something to be excited about....our nearest park is 20 minutes one way or 15 minutes the other way. To have one at the end of the block would be perfect...

I would love a surprise like that! Our closest park is about 1.5 miles away and to much of a "back road" to walk too (people drive too fast and too many bends)! I bet you will have a lot of fun in the park when it is done!

Oh you will love it. We live close to a city park and have so much fun with the kids there.

We have tons of parks with in 2 miles of us and a school playground across the street. We have about 15 parks in our city. It is nice to see that our tax dollars actually go towards something in this city. Recently a lot of young families are moving to our neighborhood and I think they are adding the park to help continue that trend. They are even putting a really nice brick fence around the park and it just happens to be the entrance to our neighborhood so it will probably help us sell our house in the future.

Oh you will love it, we have a playground structure in our neighborhood and DD#1 loves it!

I Love, love the park - have taken my kids there since b/4 they could appreciate it. I love watching them play and meet other kids and run and just have a grand old time. Love chit-chatting with the moms over coffee on a crisp fall day while the kids master the monkey bars! Enjoy your new space!
