We don't do the video games at all. Time and money waster.

Did you see that Juicy Couture now does baby clothes? And...yep, they have the pants that have Juicy across the butt. Yeah, just what I want on MY baby. Let's just invite the pedophiles in! Or it could be an advertisement for a poopy diaper!

My kids are not allowed to have Heelys, gameboys, Bratz, age inapropriate clothing or James Taylor records, that guy gives me the willies! Seriously, the only music not allowed is rap/hip hop or whatever you want to call it.

You know, I can't really think of anything right now. I wouldn't buy anything sexual suggestive but I haven't SEEN anything sexual suggestive at the stores I shop. Not once I have been in Gymboree or Carter's and thought something was inappropriate. Maybe it's just because my kids are younger? I am fine with trampolines, Bratz, toy guns, motorized cars (though we keep it at the cabin so there is limited access), writting on the butt of pants, video games and Heelies.

Bratz dolls and toy guns (silly looking water guns are fine, I'm against realistic looking ones)
inappropriate clothing (eg to sexually suggestive, bad language etc)
video games that arnt in their age group (eg a MA13 for an 8 yr old)
and video games that focus on alot of shooting.
Heeleys

Those litte scooter things (eletric) and the cars are bad to me, but only because all the kids i see with them have no parental supervision, so they are just driving right out into the parking lot. I think if they were used responsibly, then I would let ds have one.

I'm sure more things will be added to my lists as he gets older and toys evolve.

I can't think of anything that I just refuse to buy. I do make a lot of decisions on the spot if they ask for something. We try to keep toys to a minimum in the first place.

I refuse to buy my Kids Ciggarettes or alcohol!!

Um , I think I have Bought EVERYTHING for One of my four kids that all you Guys Refuse to Buy.

I have Bought bratz things at Good will Or Yard sales - , Toy guns , Video Games , Funny saying Tees ( my 10 YO loves those) DD has an adorable pair of Capri Sweats From old navy that say Cute On the tush.
I Have happy Bunny things I Happen to relate to all he says, LOL - Him and Foamy the Squirrel. .....

We also have a Trampoline

And we just bought oldest DD a Car.

So I will Say that I don't Really Limit Much -
( Unless it is Totally Profane , ghetto , or Sexual ) -

But My kids are None the Worse for it ....KWIM??

If I Let DD get One Bratz doll For 50 cents at a YS , Doesn't Mean that shes Going to grow up to Be a Prostitute!!

Most times My kids dont' Play too Much with the items - and I Don't Make a Big deal of them - so They aren't Considered Tempting and Taboo anyway.

My kids Mainly play outside on their plain and simple bikes.

I am pretty laid back in the buying department too. Both of my sons have quads, my youngest has a battery operated Jeep, he has toy guns, I see kids w/ Heelies all of the time I don't know if I like them but I would probably let them buy them if they asked. My kids also have video games and funny shirts. I guess I am a bad parent!

I wouldn't say that I refuse to buy my kids anything. My DD who is 6 doesn't really ask for a lot, except those cheap junky little toys, and I will not buy those. If she wants them she has to use her own money. She has asked for a trampoline & one of those big waterslides from Wal-Mart, and those are a no. She is not interested in Bratz, so I do not have to worry about that. I just tell family members not to buy them. We buy DVD's & Videos but we pick them out. My kids are young so I haven't had to refuse to buy anything yet. I'm sure I will once they get older.
