WEll.......after reading the above posts, I dont know if I should even to admit to all of this but.......

My ds's both race dirtbikes, we are planning on buying a trampoline here this weekend, (enclosure included, does that count? ) my oldest ds has heeleys and I cannot even count the numerous nerf guns we have lying around.......

My dd is only 18 months, so we haven't had to cross the Brat doll, or sweats w/ words on the butt- bridge yet! I'm not too big on the Brat dolls though....just the name is irritating to me.

I'm with you, I hesitated to post!

DD is allowed to use temporary tattoos. I hate real ones so I'm indoctrinating her now about how fun temporary ones are. I say things like, "See, when you get bored with it, you can change it." And, "You can wear a different style depending on how you're feeling that day." I'm hoping she never feel compelled to get a permanent tattoo (or smoke or do illegal drugs or get drunk or be promiscuous) but I'm sure by the time she is a teenager there will be something equally horrifying.

That said, DD put a Tinkerbell tattoo on her upper chest (it peeks over the collar of her T-shirts) weeks ago. It has faded a little but it has yet to wear off. I've never seen a temporary tattoo last so long. She hasn't said anything yet but I'm wondering if she's getting tired of it. I know I am.

As far as the trampoline, an enclosure helps but I'm hearing stories of kids who are still getting seriously hurt. Someone on this board had a 4-yr old who got a compound fracture in her arm (that's where the bone breaks and sticks out of the skin) from playing on a trampoline - and she didn't fall off, just landed wrong.

In terms of street vehicles, I'm not planning on buying anything low to the ground (which is another problem I have with the motorized vehicles) because I think it makes the kid too hard to see from a automobile. Therefore I'm not buying anything that looks like a 'Big Wheel' or a pocket rocket.

And no, I don't think anyone is planning on buying their kids illegal substances: cigarettes, alcohol, illegal drugs.

okay, I thought I was going to post yes but I so far my kids have just about everything everyone else said no to.

we just got a trampoline. we have lots of bratz, we have temp tattos, kids have the tshirts but all appropriate for their ages, they have pj with princess on the butt,

hey I just thought of one. I wouldn't let dd have bikini suit with the triangle shape on top. some just seem to skimpy. she doesn't ahve anythign yet but her friend does and she is sooo self conscience about it.

My step-DS spent a lot of time on a trampoline when he was in the tween years. We had to make the rounds with doctors when he complained about neck pain. Turns out that there are more subtle injuries than broken bones. He had, in a sense, compression fractures in his vertebrae. I guess it is a fairly common problem in kids who jump a lot.

I wouldn't buy any motorized thing just because it would be one more way not to be exercising and burning off excess energy!

I hate BRATZ, and I probably wouldn't buy them. Don't have to worry though because I don't have girls.

Now, Heelies? I want a pair! My DS, OMG, he's such a space case, we'd be in emergency every other day!

I refuse to buy any type of instrument type toy (It would kill my head), I also refuse to buy certain little things- like moon sand, clothes that are inappropriate and cd's that are not censored!

Because of my kids ages my "no list" is mostly limited to things they would mush in the carpet or could choke on. I don't plan on allowing them to play much for videogames (DH is seriously addicted to them and it's not something I want my future DILs to deal with!) If they do play it will be age appropriate and monitered in a Nazi like fashion, it would also be a privallage that they would have to earn.

This is where I'm at too! But I also don't plan on buying my children cars, ATVs and the like. I'm hoping to keep toy guns to a minimum as well as video games, but I'll probably buy them. No trampolines--just don't want to deal w/ it, plus the neighbors have one. I want to avoid fireworks, too. I'd just like to put DS in a bubble and keep him cute, chubby, and little with that great giggle of his
