Dh and I and my best friend and her husband booked a trip to Las Vegas from Oct 15-17 (coming home on the 17th, I think the flight home was for about 5)

So the issue is we were wondering (dh & I) if we would be able to add in Sunday the 14th?
We booked the trip through Orbitz and are unsure if we can just call the airline and add in another date & call the hotel to let them know we will be in a day early?
We tried calling Orbitz to see if we can add in an extra day but they wanted alot of money, for their so called "fees". The trip is fully paid for.

If not, Im not going to stress and will just have a good time.

I would try to call the airline and see what they say, just tell them exactly what you did, that you made the plans thru Orbitz and now you want to go a day early, you might not be able to change it due to the contract you entered into with Orbitz but it's worth a shot. If the airline does allow you to change it, you will most likely have to pay a change fee. So either way, you'll have a fee...just depends on how much it is and what you'll be allowed to do. I don't know how Orbitz works, but maybe read the fine print and see what your options are...same for the hotel, just call and ask, it can't hurt. And obviously, the airline and hotel are under no obligation to offer you the price that you received thru Orbitz.

Good luck!

Hubby books flights through Orbitz then changes dates directly with the airline or hotel all the time.

you can call the airline directly but it is going ot cost ya... They are going to charge you a change fee per ticket of 100-150 depending on the airline and then on top of the change fee the fair differance. Good luck.

I work for a major airline and yes it will cost you a pretty penny to add an extra day on to the outbound. You will also have to pay the change fee and any reiusse fee. That is the one bad thing about buying a fair for a 3rd party website.
