well when the girls were Really little we just had a small tree that fit on top of the old TV!!
that way they would not tumble underneath it!! or get hurt etc!!

Now we just get a nice med sized tree that fits!! and we still get some spirit of us!! *that helps us!* I think it all depends on what you want to do!! NOT others!!

its not about the tree or decorations its about Jesus and family~~

My sister switched to a small tabletop tree several years ago - just easier for them & they have a very small home. It's beautiful. She has such a way of decorating that the house so is festive & warm at Xmas. The year my mom died, she just couldn't bear to put up a tree, but felt she had to do something for the kids. Well, she had one of those old fashioned victorian wire plant stands out on her porch. She brought it into the corner of the living room, wired it w/ lights, and filled it top to bottom with about 20 red poinsettia plants. It was stunning. You can do whatever you want, and it can be different every year, and none of it is "wrong."

It is not bad at all not to have a big tree. The tree is not what Christmas is about.
