Myrtle Beach, South Carolina!!!!!!:happy dance: We love it there! We go for 10 days, stay im a condo so we have a full kitchen. Once we get down there we go to walmart and get a few groceries so that saves $ on eating out. There is also a washer and dryer so we don't have to pack a ton of clothes. We do a couple of "tourist" things, but mostly relax on the beach and swim. We also take cards and board games to play.

Branson is a nice place too. We didn't have the $$ to go on vacation this year so in a few weeks we are taking the kids to Branson for the weekend. There is a nice water park/hotel that is only $99 a night. We will spend alot of time doing that. We may go to Celebration City there too. They have a meal deal where you get your admission / one meal / unlimited drinks all day long for $29 adults and $21 kids.

Vacation?! What's a vacation???? Haven't had one of those in years.

I'm no help because we spend a week in Watertown NY every 4th of July visiting family. That is our vacation.

Whereever you go, I hope you have wonderful weather and tons of fun!!!!

Wow, we usually go to Branson every year and stay at that hotel - The Grand Country Inn- you just can't beat it. But, I'd like to try something different. We're actually considering Myrtle Beach. I'm not much of a beach person, but DH has never been to the ocean and would love to go. Thanks for your help.

That would be really great!! Thanks so much for offering. DH mentioned Mt. Rushmore as one of the places he wouldn't mind going. I've never been farther west than Texas/Mexico, so I'd like to go to that part of the country.

Yeah, definately DON NOT rule out Disney World!!! There is TONS for your kids to do there, believe me if you wait much longer it will be an entirely DIFFERENT experiance!!! There are SO MANY rides that they can go on!!! If you wait until they are in the teen years, the Disney experiance it TOTALLY different! We have gone every year (up until now) and we right now have a 3 year old, 5 year old and a baby. My 3 and 5 year old have gone on all of the kids rides (THERE ARE MANY, MANY, MANY) and believe me, your kids and you will ALL love it. You'll be so busy- there will never be a down time (unless you want one)...the kids will meet all their fav. Disney people and LOVE IT!!!!

Vacation planning....I love it!!!

I have to agree with everyone who said Myrtle Beach. We go there every year...Our kids are older then yours...but we have been going since they were really little. The difference is that we always go in the winter!!! Its sooooo cheap in the winter and no crowds!! But there is tons to do there...mini golf, a zoo, swimming and shopping!!!

Also...I agree with the Disney input you've already gotten. Your kids are not too young..We have been twice...once the kids were 3 and 5, then again when they were 7 and 9. They both remember both trips!!

Another place you might want to consider is Niagara Falls. There is alot to do there and it is beautiful. Also on your way you can swing by one of our favorite budget vacation places...Erie, Pa. We try to get to Erie every year, there is a great smaller waterpark/amusement park "Waldameer" and the beaches are beautiful. There is also an indoor water park "Splash Lagoon".

Have fun planning!!!

I grew up in VA....moved to different cities in VA. and there are lots of things to do here as well. Va. beach is where we go for a week every june and stay in a beach house and just have a great time w/ the kids. We live in the northern part so we can take day trips to Washington D.C. and have a great time and we go to Baltimore a lot too. Richmond and Williamsburg, Jamestown and all those cities near the shore are great too. Just goggle all your ideas and plan your trip from there!

we are planning a trip to Disney and my kids are 3 yrs apart and we are waiting till they are 4 & 7. Because they are not too old to feel the excitement of their Disney pals in person and they are old enough to ride rides and have a great time!!!
