Christy, you hit on a subject that is very near and dear to my heart. Actually, I think it is my HEART. I love to cuddle with my children. I always said that when I had children they would know that I love them by my words and my actions. Thank the Lord, both of my children love to snuggle and cuddle not only with me and their dad, but also with each other. I think it is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT to make sure they know that I love them by saying "I Love You" and by my hugs. OK, that is all I can say right now............

I wish I had a cuddiler! I can only get him to snuggle when he's asleep (or really close to it) post-waking up he likes to be held, but not snuggled. It makes me

I try, I give him lots of kisses and try to get him to snuggle in, no dice. Although he has started kissing me on the rare occasion (not quite 9 months old).

I was raised in a very loving atmosphere. To this day, my parents never miss the chance to tell me the love me or hug me. When my Dad gave me away, he whispered to my DH, "She was raised on love, give her love and she will love you back." Sappy I know but Dh has never forgot it. AS a result, we are very affectionate with our kids. Joe likes cuddle inthe morning when he comes down from bed while I enjoying my coffee. He's almost 6 so I know these days are limited. Kate will hug and kiss for any reason.

I think my son could be described as Human Velcro. If I could still carry him around in a sling all day I think he would be just as happy. DD is not so much a snuggler unless she is in a snuggling mood.

We are cuddle and snuggle bugs here too! All our kids are very affectionate with my and my dh. We all get told I love you by every one several times a day. My dh didn't grow up with love, he had a very bad childhood so I think it's as important for him as it is our kids!

We were very 'Huggy Kissy - rassleround on the carpet with our kids '
type of parents.
as they grew to tweenhood and teendom they were pulling back
so I backed off. Once they hit their stride in HS-Boom back to great big hugs and butterfly kisses they started it

Ds is 4.5 a big cuddler, which surprises me to no end because he was not a cuddly baby. He was much happier in his bouncy seat than in my arms, which made me Very sad at first but then ahhhhh the freedom!!! He traveled extrememy well, I have to say his first year and a half of life was like a vacation...we went everywhere in his car seat stroller combo - he never cried, he was a good shopper!!! But unless I was giving him his bottle, he was like, "ok, you can put me back now!"

So fast forward a year or so and he because a wonderful cuddler. He's 4.5 and still insists when we sit down to eat, "I want to sit CLOSER to you!" and will literally throw his leg over mine and eat with his left arm on my right arm (he's a lefty). At first, well, it was a bit smothering to me but I figure pretty soon he's not going to want to kiss me in public so I'm taking all the closeness I can get! I kiss him a million times a day and he's always going up to me and kissing me on the arms, or whatever body part happens to be around him. I love it, I grew up in an affectionate home but we are WAY more affectionate around here!!!
