This is her first baby, so it's hard to tell anything. They say she's measuring big, but I don't trust measurements. They said I was measuring big too, but they didn't induce and I went on my own just six days after my due date...and she didn't weight the estimated 9.5 lbs...she didn't even quite weigh 8! Her mother had to have a c-section with her, but it's because she was a twin and she and her sister both were breeched. Her baby has turned just fined and is headed in the right direction. They gave her no reason as to why they'd induce early, other than the fact that she's measuring big and it'll be a big baby (so they think)...If SHE were small in size, I could see their fear...but she's a big girl...tall and sized 16. Yes...I know that doesn't matter when it comes to the birth canal, but if the birth canal were smaller than they think it should be to deliver, they'd have mentioned that before now. To beat it all, these people aren't actually "her" doctor...her doctor was part of the practice and moved back home to Colorado to practice in July. I'm wondering if they're just too busy with the extra patient load from being short a doctor to worry with her and wanted to get her in and out as quickly as possible.
