They were really big here (IA) last year and still are but not as much selection in some stores now. However, they are super comfy. I got a knockoff pair for like $3 at a discount store. They are a lighter material than the actual crocs but the comfort is what everyone raves about. I bought them and replaced my slippers, wear em around the house, walking, etc. You can get another knockoff brand at Payless or Shopko. They are Airwalk brand. I heard they're just as good except $15 a pair instead of $29. The only bad thing is my mil said the metal thing that holds the strap on rubs on her foot, but she has like 4 pair of them so they must be comfy.

I have two pair and they are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. I can't wait until my daughter's foot is big enough to buy her the hot pink ones!!! We live in Florida and EVERYBODY has them, I see many adults and kids in them daily!!!

Also, my daughter has a pair of the Airwalks ( she's 3 1/2) and loves them. So easy to have kids slip on and off.

My 3 & 5 year old girls have them.

I think they are ugly but want a pair since they are so comfy. The now have Mary Jane Crocs and as soon as I find my size I am buying them.

My kids attend Catholic school so not even a concern
but Saw Blessed w/6's post last night and investigated-

From CROC's website
Top reasons you gotta have 'em

1.) Really soft, super comfortable, molds to your feet
2.) Barely there, weighing only 6 ounces
3.) Vented so air passes through, keeping feet cool

And even more reasons

4.) Non-marking slip-resistant soles*
5.) Bacteria and odor resistant
6.) Ultra-hip Italian styling
7.) Port holes allow water and sand to pass through
8.) Can be sterilized in water and bleach
9.) Easy maintenance, just wipe clean
10.) Orthotic molded foot bed for ultimate comfort and support

*just like a performance tire, when the treads become worn, their slip-resistant nature will be compromised. That¹s when you know it¹s time to treat your feet to a new pair.

Going to investigate further and try on a pair-

They are, like, THE STUFF, here in Baton Rouge. I'd say 2 out of 10 people have them on. Men, woman, kids... My girls have several pairs. $29 is not a great price. We've gotten CROCS brand for $21, that was on sale. Payless has a Hello Kitty knock off that is ADORABLE.

Both me and my dd have them. My dd has the pink hello kitty ones from Payless. I think they are cute. Mine are black and terribly ugly BUT oooohhhh ssooooooo comfy!!! Payless is by far the best price for them around here.

They are popular here but I would not say they are trendy. I mostly see them on children or with mismatched plaid. I'd rather walk barefoot through hot coals then be seen wearing them. But then, I just spend four hours at a fair in sandals with 3" heels because they make my legs look hot, so I might be a bad person to ask.
