My kids are too young to know/care about the latest fashion, so I have not bought any. I saw them on sale at the local dept store for $29 a pair... is that a good price? They look colorful/fun. Are they comfortable- I mean. REALLY comfortable? When I was still working I got caught up in the "medical clog" thing... sheesh, I was better off in my tennis shoes.
Around here, even 2 year olds are wearing them. So- what do you all think? Crocs- yes or no?

They're not in fashion around here. I've seen a few ladies wearing them, but they were also wearing house dresses or pajamalike clothing in public too. I live in an urban area though, so it may never catch on here.

you know I had never heard of them until last month when someone mentioned them on here. I saw them yesterday on someone and that was the first time I'd seen anyone wear them. I think they are ugly personally so I think they must be comfy for people to buy them! Do they come in extra wide cuz that is all my big foots can wear!

My children do not like them or should I say the looks of them, so I have not investigated them any further. I, like you, wonder if they are really comfortable.

My sis has a pair and swears they are the most comfortable shoes she owns. I think they are just to ugly to even wear. They look like something you would garden in, to me.

They ARE ugly..but oh so comfortable. AND, Payless has all shoes buy one get one 1/2 off...and these are only $14.99 to start with there!! Plus, Payless hold up just as well!! My 17 year old has had the same pair of ones from Payless for over a year now. WE ALL LOVE THEM!!!

They are extremely comfy, actually. I have a pair of Nothinz, the exact same thing as Crocs, even the price, so they aren't a cheap alternative. I have tried on Crocs and Nothinz and find that Nothinz are a bit more squishy than Crocs, but not much. They are ugly, but they are extremely popular here so you definitely don't stick out wearing them. They're great to throw on to run to the store, go for walks, anything.
I bought dd (almost 4) a pair this spring at Payless (as their feet grow so darn fast) and she wears them everywhere. They float, so they can go in/near water, they clean up nicely, they're so lightweight...I'll definitely be getting another pair for myself and dd in the spring. JMHO
Oh, and I have wide feet also, and there's plenty of room!!

I actually THOUGHT they WERE garden shoes when I first saw them....My two year old LOVES them, though. My nephew that I keep during the day has a pair of the generics and she wears them all the time...while he wears her pink flip flops...ROFL She's begged for a pair....she just doesn't NEED shoes, though...and I think they're ugly too. I wouldn't NOT let my kids wear them because they're ugly, though...

Well, they might be comfy, but they're just about the ugliest damn shoes I've every laid eyes on. My dd has asked for a pair, but they come in these wild colors and only match, like, two things in her closet. I know they make a few neutral colors, but they still really don't match anything she owns. What a waste of money. I'd rather invest the money in a pair of comfy, NICE-LOOKING shoes that match everything.

I have Croc knockoff (Walmart brand) and while I agree that they are the ugliest shoes ever, they are so unbelievabley comfortable!!! I work as a nursing assistant and am on my feet all day long and I suffer from Plantars Fachitus (sp?). My feet and legs do not hurt at all when I wear them!! And they are only $8!!! My feet hurt in my $60 Nike walking shoes! My kids, however have no interest in them.
