Thanks everyone for praying, but it looks like we're going to need a lot more. We went and had Millie's CT scan today and she has cancer. It's a Wilms tumor on her kidney. We go to see an oncologist on Monday @ 1:00 and he's going to schedule surgery next week to remove the tumor and her kidney. Please pray for the doctors wisdom and that the cancer has not spread to her other kidney or in her lymph nodes. Can you imagine only 14 months old. Has anyone else here dealt with something like this. I'm completly in shock! I just need some prayer and support PLEASE!!!!!

I'm so sorry to hear that you didn't get better news with the CT scan. It breaks my heart to hear about your sweet baby. I've been through a LOT of medical issues with my dd, including 8 major surgeries (plus a lot of other minor procedures, scopes and such). She was very sick for a long time and nearly died a couple of different times, but we're blessed she came through it all, and is doing pretty well now. I have a feeling you'll meet a lot of families at your hospital's oncology floor (is your dd going to a Children's hospital? I highly recommend it, if you have one in your area). Also, if you haven't already, look online to see if there are support groups available for the type of cancer your dd has. There are a couple of people from mine that I still keep in touch with. It was such an invaluable resource to me to be able to talk with people who'd been there and knew what I was going through. Also, please feel free to pm me anytime if you want to talk. And, thank you so much for updating us. I've been thinking about you and Millie and wondering how things were going. I'm sure it was very difficult for you to sit down and write it all out. I can remember many times crying over the keyboard, just because writing it out somehow made it seem more real. Your family is in my prayers!

Great Big Hug and Big Positive Thoughts and Prayers.

I have not dealt with Wilms Tumor personally but had 3-1/2 weeks
of close contact with a Mom whose daughter had successful treatment.
I lost contact with her but her 'positive attitude' and other coping skills
made her my hero.

MayoClinic.com may have information and there may even be foundations to help you and lend support.
You know you always have us here at Mommysaver's

I don't have any experience with this or any words of wisdom but will pray for you and your little one.

I wish I had the right words to comfort you, but I don't know where to begin. Just know that I am keeping you and Millie in my thoughts and in our prayers. My dd is also praying for her. Please know we are here for you and that you can call on us at any time. God's blessings and ((((((((((BIG HUGS)))))))))).
