Was it love at first sight? Dh and I met while we were both in the military. I've known him for a little bit before we got "together" He was a little intimedating that's why it took me a while to say Hi to him.

I was in the Army and he was a firefighter at the airport next to the base. They came on base to eat in the mess hall and we met there.

I wish I had a bit more romantic of a story but we met at Wal Mart - we both worked there. Regarding love at first site? NO! He was cute but very immature - thank God Star Trek, one of the movies came out, because we started talking about it one day!

We met at church; I was in the choir and he was in the orchestra. We would play the game where we'd catch the other staring; finally he asked me out one evening. I actually worked with his bf & roommate so I learned a little about him through them (& vice versa). I don't know if it was love at first sight, but once we started dating, it didn't take us long to realize we were meant to be.

We met at the singles group at church. I was already a member and he was checking it out. I was actually dating the president of the group at the time and he had just (2 days before) broken up with a longtime girlfriend of 2.5 years.

So, no, not love at first sight. I remember thinking he was interesting when I was talking to him. Plus, things were not going great with the other guy, and I thought, "I wish he could be more like this new guy."

Little did I know. . .

A lifelong friend of his lived above me in the dorms my sophmore year of college. He introduced me to dh and dh's roommate. I dated the friend, and dh's roommate first. Then I came to my senses and dh decided not to be so shy!!

I met my dh online in a basketball chat room. We spoke online and on the phone for a year before we met in person. For 5 years we flew back and forth to see each other until we got married. Never did I think an online relationship would work...boy was I wrong

We met at a conveince store-talk about romantic. We had actually been friends with all the same people for years, but had never met. He still lived with his dad (3 hrs. away from where I lived) and was staying with his mom for the summer before he went to college out of state. My friend and I were cruising one night, stopped to get a pop and he pulled up with a bunch of buddies. My friend and him started talking and she introduced him to me. I thought he was funny and cute. We met up with them a week later and I gave him my phone number. It took him almost almost two months to call and ask me out. We went to dinner and a movie. He didnt leave to go to college out of state, he said and went to the local college--I NEVER asked him to stay. We have been together since July 1995. I havent been able to get rid of him since.
