Welcome to today's edition of Name That Haircolor! Yeah right, Meduim Auburn my @$$, funny how the pics make it look more red then what i see in the mirror, because i would be calling this color " Black Cherry Soda".

Another shot, hey atleast it brings out the eye color right?

And again it looks a different color in this pic
Heck they should just put "Mystery Color" on the box, that way there are no unexpected surprises. Oh but atleast it covered the gray like the box said it would......if your interested in achieving this mystery color. It's Nice and Easy gray solution-medium Auburn(5R). I swear it looks WAY darker in the mirror!

I like it. I think it is a great color for you, but then again pictures sometimes do not give the true color / effects!

I used Corn Silk Medium Auburn the beginning of Aug and got the SAME thing. It took about 3-4 days of washing for it to lighten slightly. After about 3 weeks - it's all faded and it looks more drab blonde again

Yeah - I don't think I will be using Medium Auburn again

I think it looks really pretty! If you think it is too dark- wash your hair with Dawn- it helps take some of the color out!

BTW- don't worry- you are getting the same effect I usually get when I color my hair. It usually looks really dark when you look at it and then if you move your head about- you can usually see the light hit it in different directions and see all the hilights it gave your hair!

I colored my hair over the weekend with Garnier Nutrisse (the only haircolor that doesn't burn my scalp). The color on the box is brown, the name of the color is light golden brown, the color on my head is redish similar to yours. I did find a Garnier color I liked alot that was the same color as my head and covered the gray but I haven't been able to find it any more at target or walmart

I like it. It turned out WAY better than my hair crisis once.
My sister and I stripped (bleached) out a bunch of my hair that we pulled thru a cap. And than after that we put an auburn color in it. LOVED IT, it looked really cool and it was the first time EVER that any color had shown up worth a crap in my hair-oh I have really dark brown hair. So everything was fine and think a month or so later, I thought it was fading so I went and got some hair dye. I got another auburn color and went home and put it in. It was late at night and I didnt pay that close attention to the color it came out to and went to bed. When I woke up, I saw that I had turned my hair HOT PINK!!! Seriously, hot pink. I looked like I should have been in some punk rock 80's band!! It was horrible. I threw on a baseball hat and ran to the drug store and bought a light brown color and colored it again. I didnt care if all my hair fell out, it was better than having hot pink hair.
I would give it a week or so and see if it fades to where you like it. If not, try again.
