I love all the ideas - But What about Keeping the basement Warm in the winter??

We Don't Go Near our basement in the Bitter Cold Months....
We are totally Finishing it this Year so We will have heat then ...

Years ago we did the partially Finished /Play room bit - But it was always too cold in the winter - even with a Space heater!
Well it was too big and Open so even with a Couple space heaters it was Darn Cold!

Try electric baseboard heaters. Not very expensive but can serve the purpose...

We had electric baseboard heaters installed in our 3-season porch, and now we can use it year-round. I think it's a great idea. It was economical, and also raised our home's value.
