How many trick or treaters do you get on the average year? The last three years, we've had about 5 each year- ONLY because we are gone most of the night- we first go to our churches "fall festival" and play games, eat, enter a few contests, then we go trick or treating and go to the City building and do all of the games there...by the time we get home, it's after 9 most years. We all go together.

Does either you/your spouse stay home to hand out candy? Do you hand out Trick or treat bags to the neighborhood kids after school? I usually make up a few bags and have the girls bring them over to their neighborhood friends before we leave for our church every year.

Unfortunately we are living in a condo and get no kids. I really miss answering the door. Some of the kids are so cute (not just the costumes, the way they act). I loved having trick or treaters. My dad goes all out and really gives a big bag of goodies to the kids and my parents house sometimes gets a lot, other years hardly any. Unpredictable.

big fat zero....... and we always prepare with candy.

Since having ds though, we now go to the mall for trick or treating. I can't wait to go this year, now he is more aware of stuff :D

I have no idea since we just moved here in November, but we had a ton where we used to live. Sometimes ds would stay home and hand out candy and sometimes we would put a bowl on the porch for people to help themselves. We lived in a VERY small little town.

Well...my Dh travels every week, so it's rare if he's home for Halloween. So, for the most part, I take the kids around and I don't hand out candy, simply because I'm just not at my front door, I'm with my kids in the neighborhood. The times I have been though, we get probably 75ish to 100 kids at our old house.

Our old neighborhood didn't have a lot of kids, but people would drive in from other cities to trick or treat in our neighborhood. Here in our new neighborhood there are TONS of kids, so I'm wondering how much candy/stuff I should buy if I am able to hand out candy. One lady said she had 200 pieces of candy and had to turn her light off early last year when she ran out...
