I just watched the bulk trash pickup my old baby carseat and toss it and I got really sad. (FYI - it was over 5 years old and even the charity places won't take them that old here anymore...I don't normally toss good stuff!) Anyway, is that a sign that you really do want another baby? We both want another more than anything, but worry that our plates are full with the three we have.

I'm still getting the baby itch, but I know we have to be done.

I put ds' carseat out a couple of weeks ago for pickup, w/a note saying that it was over 6 yrs old - the manufacturers state they need to be replaced after that age due to wear and tear, plus we're in a hot region. That, along with some broken stereo stuff, was snatched up right away, and not by the trash! I hope it doesn't hurt someone's life.

If you still have the itch, don't rule it out. Maybe your plates won't be so full in time. Just don't write it off. Oh, and I have lots of friends who ended up pregnant as soon as they gave away their baby gear!

A girlfriend of mine wanted a 3rd baby (she wanted a girl), but her hubby wasn't really for it. They finally decided to give away all their baby stuff. Donated it to the church sale and a week later found out they were pregnant. They got their baby girl!

My mom jokingly said I'd probably end up pregnant if I took down DS's crib to put up a toddler bed. I couldn't get that crib dismantled fast enough! (We've been trying for 2 years) Still nothing..
