I have been trying forever to get my DH to take my oldest DD (5.5 years old) out. For some reason he has always been freaked our about taking her out on his own...he worries about bathroom issues, people thinking he is a molester if she throws a tantrum and he has to pick her up and walk away, etc . If he takes her out for 10 minutes it is a rare treat. I finally convinced him to take her ice skating with out me. I don't skate and can think of a better way to spend 2 hours like cleaning or playing with our baby. She has been in figure skating for over a year so she knows how to skate. Woo hoo 2 hours without my oldest. I told him we know enough people at the rink now that she could ask one of them to follow her to the bathroom or he can stand out side the ladies room and wait for her. I hope it works out with out any fights or tantrums so I don't have to go every time
