I am so proud of Carson, my oldest 6 year old. On Saturday he ran his first real race~~a 1.10 mile run for our Art on the Run Festival! He was the youngest runner and there were over 100 people in it. He came in 51st, which to me is pretty great for his first race and being the youngest. Also, he had just finished playing a soccer game in which he played the entire game.  I can only imagine that he would've finished better had he not spent so much of his energy already.
He was a little nervous at first, but he was so proud of himself when he finished. He received a ribbon that he proudly carried around with him most of the morning. 
Anyway, I just wanted to share with you all.
