I don't. My husband and I were talking about this. Truthfully I don't think it is in the best interest of anybody - let's face it there are good Democrats and good Republicans -- just like their are idiot Democrats and idiot Republicans. I do probably lean a bit more to the Democrat side of things but there are issues I actually agree a bit more with Republicans on. I also find that some of the major issues, while I have opinions on, really aren't that important to me either way.

i'm not registered for any party. I know that means I can't vote in the primaries and I'm okay with that. If I had to chose I'd register as a Libertarian.

I try to do my research and vote for the best PERSON for the job.

I have often voted across all party lines, but I am a Libertarian.

I research candidates and I vote for the person who I feel will do the best job. I don't vote for a person just because they belong to a certain party. I have a tendancy to lean more toward the democratic side, but I have voted republican in many cases.

I research all candidates, but it seems like all my choices end up being Republican. There have been local elections where I have voted for, even campaigned actively for, Democratic candidates, but I can't remember the last time I have felt comfortable voting for a Democratic candidate on a national level.

And, as I have said many, many times before, local elections are probably MORE important to most people's everyday lives then the national elections. It drives me crazy people don't look into local politics more.

Except for local elections, I vote Democrat. I would consider an Independent candidate though. I don't agree with Republican ideology, so I just couldn't go there.

I don't plan to this election if Ron Paul is the Republican nominee. If not, then I'll vote Democrat.

I tend to do a lot of research on the individuals - especially in local elections (national elections get so much press it's easier). I do not vote straight democrat, but it's rare when a republican gets my vote. Altho John McCain probably would have had my vote if he got the nomination last time instead of Bush in 2000 - I really liked him at the time. Don't like him so much this time. I'll generally throw a few libertarians & green party candidates in if their profile is good.

I am a registered Republican. I have voted for a Democratic governor before but I generally vote along the party line. However, I won't hesitate to vote Democratic if I feel the person is right for the office they are seeking.
