The final vote before City Council about this concrete plant/industrial rezoning behind our neighborhood is tomorrow night. I feel like I have been busting my butt on this for months now (since April) and just fear it will all be for naught.

I know the school board is opposed to this, but since it isn't contiguous to the land, they "can't do anything". I feel we have one vote (the lady that voted against annexation), but am really afraid the good ol' boy network is too strong in this town.

I just feel like I am spinning my wheels and wasting my time. I have help from many other neighbors, so it isn't all me, but I am just so frustrated by it!!!

I am so worked up about this I am dreaming about it, too. ARGH! I need to seriously let this go to some extent!

We have about 200 signatures that I know of which isn't too bad for a week's work.

I've followed your story and I am very impressed with what you've done! Win or lose YOU have done a lot. You should be very proud of yourself. I've got my fingers crossed for you -- let us know when you find out!

Maybe the owners of this plant could put it in their neighborhood?

You are to be commended for all of your hard work on this and actually getting out there and fighting for something! I really hope that they vote it down. That's a terrible situation.
