We had over 10 of them last year  A few died in the walls ( I think a neighbor uses Decon or they just get caught on a nail), the dog caught one, a few were caught in glue traps and 6 were caught in an electronic trap. I recommend the electronic zap traps that you can get at Lowes and Home Depot. They get finished off and you just open the top and dump them in the trash...reset it and trap more. Put traps where you see the most droppings and put peanut butter and a little dog food on them and you will be catching them in no time.
Make sure you keep you cupboards closed with a latch or they will move on in there. We had some in our pantry cupboard and had to throw everthing but cans that could be sprayed with a bleach solution away. My husband went to grab a bag of Doritos we had on the bottom shelf and a mouse jumped out at him
