Just a vent.

My husband has been divorced for almost 11 years. We live in the same home he lived when married, but, when I moved in, we had the phone number changed and put in my name. His ex-wife, I will call her Marilyn, because that's her name, has used our phone number for credit cards that she does not pay off, and other things, so we get phone calls for her all the time. I have put her phone number (which I got from one of my stepdaughters) by the telephone and I give them the number. It worked for a while, but now her number is disconnected so they have started calling us again! I am so aggravated by this. She and the rest of her family are not honest people and they always have people looking for them and Kevin gets phone calls all the time asking where any of her brothers and sisters can be found. It has been 10 years, people!

This morning I get a phone call for one of Marilyn's sisters. At first I didn't know who they were talking about because I didn't recognize the last name. I finally figured out who they were talking about and tried so hard not to go off on the lady. I understand that she was at her last resort in trying to find Michelle, but I am not an answering service for these people and I had to tell the lady 3 times, I do not know Michelle, I only know of her and that Kevin and Marilyn had been divorced 10 years and we don't keep track of her family.

If I knew, I would certainly tell her because I am tired of the phone calls for them

I think we have decided to change our phone number and not give it to Kevin's daughters (They are adults). They can always reach us on our cell phones and I really don't want to risk their mother using our phone number anymore.

That's all.

I don't blame you!
That's beyond disrepespectful and should learn how to keep their distance.
This would definitely be aggravating and you SO should change your phone # asap!
I commend you for keeping your cool in situations like that

You have NO idea how hard it is to keep my cool, lol. I want to call her and yell at her, but I know it would do no good.

You're obviously the better person here!
Omg, I hate to be used as a reference for anything because I know this could happen.
People calling me, BOTHERING me, ughhh I find that so annoying.

You would think they would be a little shame in having your ex-husband's new wife knowing that you can't pay your bills! At least in my opinion. I'm sorry that is happening to you.

Yeah, that's annoying! After 10 years and she lives in a different town, now...I just throw anything away that comes to her name.
