Not sure where else to post this question - want a lot of opinions ...

I got an email for a pretty good sounding deal on Omaha Steaks (about $60 for 2 Filet Mignons, 4 sirloin, 4 chicken, 4 pork, 2 scallops, 8 franks, 4 steak burgers & 10 portions of au gratin potatoes). I've never had Omaha Steaks products and am curious to know if this is indeed worth it (I'm thinking Christmas gifts for my dad & FIL). Are they really as good as they say?

We have gotten them two times when they had super duper specials. I think the stuff is normally VERY overpriced, and is even borderline overpriced when on sale, but it's convenient to get a bunch of the stuff and throw it in the freezer for whenever I'm searching for something quick. I think the quality is good, but I know some people don't like their products.

I have gotten food from them a few times. I agree with above that there stuff is slightly overpriced. THough we like the taste and the selections. It is easy to freeze and have a good meal fairly quickly. I just got a card in the mail with a 50% off everything- so plan on going this week to the store close by and buying stuff to freeze.

I have also gave this as a Xmas gift last year.
My mom gaves it to 1 of my brothers family every Xmas- as they love this stuff!

We get a gift box from one of our suppliers each year for Christmas... The steaks are WONDERFUL. And that's comming from a farm girl that raises her own beef..

Meh. I wasn't impressed with them. I think their stuff is definately overpriced. We didn't find quality superior than I what I get when I go to smaller butcher shops/speciality markets to get really good beef. And it's cheaper there. LOL

I really like them, esp. because I don't buy steaks very often. I think they are really good quality. We get something similar to that package for my bil and sil every year and they seem to love them.
