I was in a similar situation, except my miscarriages weren't quite as late as 22 wks. It made me so frightened, especially with my last pregnancy. Like you, I had another miscarriage after I had my first child. Then when I was pregnant again, I was so frightened, it prevented me from enjoying those early months. I even bled clots one day and acted lackadaisically, detached (but was very depressed) when I told dh I had miscarried. I called my doctor to cancel my appt. but they still wanted me to come in, even though they said it was my decision, since I already knew the signs. After the doctor gently suggested she check for a heartbeat and my turning her down, then changed my mind, imagine my surprise and tears (mine and the doctor's) when we heard a strong-sounding heartbeat! That heartbeat is now going strongly inside my two year old diva, outside right now learning volleyball with her daddy.
Miracles can happen. Some things are out of our hands. I know it's hard, but try as much as you can to have faith and enjoy the pregnancy...except for the morning sickness and aches and pains. Best wishes and prayers for you...
