I think that is what is called anyway. Maybe its Hand, Foot and Mouth? Whatever it is, it is sweeping through DD's daycare and now I think she has it. She has awful little blisters on her bottom, a couple of tiny white blisters on her tongue and now within the last hour, two little ones on her fingers. I can't really find a whole lot about this online and everything I have found has said is all that you can do is let it run its course. She had a fever earlier but tylenol brought it down pretty quick. I am going to call her doctor in the morning but I was just wondering if anyone had anything to share on this topic. TIA.

My oldest DS had it when he was 10 months old. It is highly contagious in children. My son's mouth was full of blisters, the tops of his hands and his feet were blistered. The only thing I could get him to take was sweetened tea. He refused to eat because it hurt.
Here is the link to the CDC. http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dvrd/revb/...virus/hfhf.htm

Try to keep her comfortable. It is painful.

Good luck and give her a hug from me!

My kids had this at the begining of summer, it affected my 2 year old the worst. He had bilsters all over his feet and his mouth all the way down his throat. Juice popcicles helped and their is also a cocktail of Ibuprofen, tylenol, and benadryll. Ask your Dr. about it he or she should know, but it takes down the swelling and the fever and relives the pain. I found out about it after all my kids were better, but my neighbors kids had it and the cocktail is what he prescribed and it worked really good for her children. But ask the Dr. first as I don't remember the dosage or how many parts of one to the other. Good Luck!

Auughh, a nightmare for daycares and very uncomfy for the little ones affected. It IS highly contagious...you might want to MAKE SURE and ask what the daycare is doing to prevent her from getting it again...make sure they are disinfecting all toys, handrails, door knobs, etc. Do the same at home. Hope she's feeling much better very soon!

poor little thing. it sweeps through here every couple of years. there is nothing you can do but ice, lots of popcicles and tylenol or a pain reliever.

i hope all the kids feel better with this.

My dd had it in April and her Dr. said to just use Tylenol for her discomfort and he said that once they get it they usually build up an immunity to it like chicken pox and don't get it again. It did last about 5-7 days. Hang in there it gets better near the end.

I don't have any advice either, but just wanted to say how bad I feel for you. Good luck and give your little one hugs for me.
