They just said on the news there is a man in Boston that has been camped out at Best Buy since Wednesday. Has anyone ever camped out to get a good spot in line?

I wouldn't wait in line 30 minutes. My time is worth more than any bargain.

Hahaha, funny you should mention this. We just drove home from the inlaws and passed a circuit city with people actually in tents by the door....DH said "oh my god, those people are mentally unstable..."....it was funny. I wouldn't wait in line either. I"d much rather sleep in my warm bed. ps-happy thanksgiving ladies...

Ever including last night? My oldest dd and I got in line at Circuit City around 8:15 pm last night. We had 2 chairs and a folding camp table and a blanket. I just got home a few minutes ago and I am heading to bed. There were indeed people there with tents. At the Best Buy, there were people there since Wednesday night but not at Circuit City.

Can you share the awesome deals you got? It must have been good to get in line that early!

Personaly I would never camp out, but MAYBE if I lived in a warm climate it might be fun IMO no deal is worth freezing your arse off for!

Nope, way too cold here in Illinois.

I always kind of figured the $ that I saved, I'd spend at the doctor's office and for prescriptions while sick. Then I'd miss days of work and that wouldn't pay off.

My dh and I saw tens outside our Best Buy last night at 10:00 pm. Then, the store never received whatever they were looking for but they actually gave out rain checks.

Living in Florida has it's advantages, the temp last night was in the mid to upper 60's. Honestly the deals were not all that great. I ended up spending more than I intended and didn't get hardly anything at Circuit City I had intended to get. I had originally planned on getting the Samsung 50" DLP hdtv on sale for $799.99. But ended up getting the Zenith 50" Plasma hdtv for $999.99. I had totally forgot about the fact that I would need a power cleaner for the TV plus the HDMI cable. Circuit City had a special for the power cleaner and the HDMI cable plus some cleaner for $149.99.

I got home this morning shortly after 10am and took a nap from noon to 4, I think it was worth it though, we had tried to buy it online but it just wouldn't go through and I got a better tv after talking to the sales guy at circuit city. The DLP tvs are prone to bulb burn out after 3-5 years and cost around $500 for new bulbs, the plasma tv is expected to work for 30-40 years. I had been concerned about burn in but he said they have been redesigned to help prevent burn in and it has a screen eraser that can be used in an extreme emergency only because it takes a couple years off the life of the tv.

NO! I placed my circuit city order online early Thanksgiving morning and got an email today saying that it shipped and will be here Tuesday!! I was soo glad I got my deal online, especially when I saw the lines Friday morning. Here the fire marshall made them limit the number of people in the store. There was a continuos line for over 2 hours after they opened!

I got my 11" digital frame at Radio Shack and only stood in line for about 30 minutes, although I lucked out and got the last one (only because the sales guy talked the family in front of me into not buying all 4 of the frames they had; the poor guy behind me didn't get one! Bummer) I also stood in line for 20 mins this morning at Kmart to get the big imaginext dinosaur for $14.99. I bought the box of huggies (with coupon of course) and got a $10 coupon off a toy purchase!! Yeah for me!

I am almost done. I am pscyched for the after Christmas clearances so I can start shopping for next year!!
