I save everything to disk after my card on my cam is full!! and this time there was more since some of the pics are from a trip to the American Girls store on my dd's 5th birtday!!
I went to pull off pics from that day to add to the Chrismas pics well the disk was cracked!!
4 months are gone!! I can live without the others but The trip and the fact it was my dd's 5th birthday im soo upset!! is there a way to fix the disk and recover the pics!!!!

I am so sorry, I know how upset I would be if that happend to me... ((HugS))! If you know any computer techs in your area they may be able to save some of your pictures...

was it your camera card, or the disk???
From now on I would just plug and store on my hard drive or print out hard copies of the ones you can not live without hope somemthing works

the only thing you can do is see if someone has a recovery program to recover them from your camera's memory card....

I would also suggest a computer/photo restore person. Someone who can transfer photos from one media to another. IT really is amazing what can be done these days- so do not give up yet.

On a side note- for everyyone to save there pictures in other places besides just a disk- ie the hard drive/in a folder on the computer and actually make 2 disks one to keep at your house and other in the bank or at your parents (this one in case of a fire)

the good thing Is the main pics I have printed out!! I usually copy the camera disk to a CD
then store the cd in the fire proof safe!! I barely take them out but needed them for the christmas pic!!

We save all of our pictures on our computer, burn them to a cd or dvd and we also upload them to a picture site like AOL pictures or any of the other sites. This way we have 3 backs ups if any fail.
