personally canidates using celebraties to help boost their votes really turns me off. i like oprah but i have issues with her in the last 2 years and some have to do with what i think is a racial preference on her part it really has turned me off of watching her show though i do turn in if its a good topic i'm just not so dedicated to watching every day anymore. so if anything i think it makes me think less of a candidate then anything else i think you need to look at the person running not their rich friends.

I think I actually am influenced negatively when a candidate is endorsed by a nut-job celebrity! It makes me think less of the candidate. I think that most should steer clear of all press that has to do with nit-wit celebs political preferences and most do. Most candidates do not bring celebrities on the campaign trail and most are probably horrified when some idiot is walking around with their campaign shirt on.

However, I am really fascinated with Obama's choice to bring Oprah out. Honestly, I think he would have been stupid to not run with her and I will be watching with great interest to see if it pushes him to the lead. I have always wondered how much power she has and this will be a pretty good way to measure it. However, she said that she has had very few politicians on her show over the years. Is that because she won't ask them on or because they won't go on with her rules? You can't tell me that she wouldn't jump at the chance to have a one-on-one interview with George W, (what journalist in the world wouldn't???) but he'll never agree to do it by her rules - you know?
