We attended a fundraiser yesterday that I thought was a cute idea and I would pass it along though it is probably too late for anyone else to organize this year.

In our town the junior class ad their parents raises money, each year, for the senior grad night party. And this year they had a breakfast, pictures with Santa, and (this is the cool part) they had a "shop" set up in the library. This shop is for little kids, with the help of a high school student, to go buy gifts for their family members and have them wrapped. All of the gifts are $5.00 and under and our daughter was able to pick out items for me, her daddy, her grandma, and her baby brother. They then placed the gifts in holiday lunch bags and brought them out to us. My daughter LOVED it! She had so much fun. I thought it was a cool idea.

Like I said my daughter loved it and was very proud of herself. Of couse she has already managed to tell me what I got, candle, but so far she hasn't mentioned it to anyone else!

I should add that we spent about $40.00 easily at this thing and I don't think we're out of the norm. So it really was a good fundraiser!

I just helped at our local Christmas Bazaar -- just like that. Every item was $.50 (saves having to price everything) -- all donated -- and we made $220.00! That means we sold 440 items! We had A LOT of kids come in to shop and wrap! I like the idea of the lunch bags, I'm going to have to steal that!
