To all our Canadian members on the board: HAPPY BOXING DAY!!!!

When I lived in Canada with my family, this was the day we would go to Christmas dinner at my grandparents' house. My grandfather would get out his Belgian Horses, harness them up and he would take all us cousins (his grandchildren) on a sleigh ride around the farmstead. Eventually we would head down the road and pick up various neighbors along the way and go carolling. It was so fun. Once we returned we would go sledding or ice skating and come back to Gram's for hot chocolate and cookies! I loved the old fashioned fun we used to have. I hope to one day share that with my kids!

I think I have been told this before, but what is Boxing Day??

I didn't know boxing day was just Canadian. It's another holiday for most businesses except retail where there are a lot of sales on today. Most people I know spend Christmas day with one side of the family and boxing day with the other. We're heading out of town tomorrow to see the other side of the family for the weekend.
