a piece of plastic wrap!

I got the Sliders (4 small burgers) they are served with a side of lettuce, onion, tomatoes and pickles on the side. So dh and I went out to Claim Jumper on Saturday and got some dinner. As we were eating, I noticed something strange and took it out and set it aside. I leaned over and told dh that I found some plastic wrap in my burger (it had to be with the produce since the burgers were fully cooked).

We were sitting at the bar - because there was a huge crowd waiting to be seated so we just went over to the bar (you dont have to even order a drink) Anyway. Dh told the bartender what was found and immediately had someone get a manager.

The manager came by and I told him and showed him what was found in my food. I didn't get all pissed (it wasn't his fault) so he took off my order and asked is there anything else he can do. I wasn't sure, I just asked dh what he wanted. So we just got a slice of the Motherlode cake to go. (which is a $10 slice of cake, its about 12 inches long)

We will still go there again. It's not like we found a finger in the chili...ha ha.

In all the years going out to eat this is the first time I found something in my food.

I also let them know about those things. If I am or not satisfied.
If I get awesome service, I let them know, and also, if I feel i don't like something, I will
also let them know.
One time, I had pizza delivered, and I paid over the phone with a CC, and when the delivery guy came, he only had his reciept for me to sign. but no rec. for me to keep.
he also didn't want to go and get it, or have someone deliver it. I cannot sign something if im not getting a copy of it.
anyways, I called the corp. # and told them the situation, they were very understanding and send me a coupon for a free pizza, any size.
That was nice, but i feel bad using it, months later...i still have the coupon!

I found a beetle swimming in my soup (it was the Zuppa Toscana) at Olive Garden before.
That was the only soup I liked there, not anymore though! My dh's younger brother worked at one and when we were telling him about it he said that's happend before , something about the greens they use in the soup that the beetles like. Nice.

It was about 1986 or 1987, I was a teenager, and we were eating at an Old Spaghetti Factory in Sacramento, California. I was munching away on my salad, lighting was dim, and I had problems picking up a piece of lettuce with my fork. Upon second glance I realized that piece lettuce was actually a butterfly bandaid and it wasn't a clean one! It was disgusting. Not to mention that was when the AIDS scare was going crazy and not everyone knew how you could or couldn't get it. I have never eaten at another Old Spaghetti Factory since then.

My cousin bit into her burger at Ihop and got a mouth full of plastic before. It was from the cheese!

Years ago my sister found a bandaid in her pizza at the mall.

Nothing beats the lizard head found in the oriental chicken salad at Applebee's in Iowa City. They kept that one on the down-low. They found out it snuck a ride in the head of lettuce and was cut up. No one got sick thankfully. That's the only thing I like at Applebees and that picture is just stuck in my head.

Ewwww, the lizard head and band-aids freak me out big time!!

I managed an 'upscale' restaurant and thankfully we didn't have very many foreign objects in the food complaints, but one we did have was a woman demanded that her waiter get me because there was a live inch worm crawling on her plate...of course, she was sitting outside on the patio at the table under the tree that she requested

My Mom and Dad were eating at a Banditos Mexican Restaurant several years ago. Mom was chomping on the tortilla chips. When she got down to the last couple chips, she noticed several ANTS scurrying around on the bottom of the bowl! UGH!

Oh...how could I forget this story? Once when my DH and I were living in Junction City, Kansas, my DH was assigned to overnight duty at the Army post. I was 2 months pregnant and had a craving for some Chinese food. I ordered takeout from the local place, brought it home, ate it, and was sick ALL night. It was horrible!

A few weeks later, we were talking to one of the business owners of the place next to the Chinese restaurant. He told us that the Chinese restaurant was filthy and that he's even seen the employees washing their pots and pans in the RAINWATER outside the restaurant!! I asked around and SEVERAL people verified that this was true. I couldn't believe the place was still open!!!!! Totally disgusting!!!!
