Ok I'm going crazy ladies. I took a pregnancy test on Friday that confirmed that I was pregnant (big suprise to us we were using protection and DS#3 is not quite 4 months old). Saturday I started bleeding. I took another test and the line came up darker than before. I kept bleeding (heavy and red) til today now it's lightening up, and took another test (a different brand) tonight and it came up completely negative. I bleed but with no cramps, no passing of tissue or anything, is it even possible after a miscarriage to have your HcG levels drop SO fast as to go from a very dark positive line to nothing in the matter of a day an a half? Should I calm down and hold out hope? I'm sorry to post this here but as unexpected and shocking it was to find out we were pregnant yet again, the thought of losing this baby is more than I can bear and I have been crying non-stop for the last 2 days. Any help would be so so appreciated. Thanks ladies!

I think you should call your doctor.

I don't have a doctor We just moved to our new house and I haven't found a doctor here, otherwise I would, but really there is nothing they could do for me. I just wanted to know if it's even possible for HcG to go from whatever to 0 in a matter of 18 hours. I'm only 5 weeks along so they won't even want me to go to the hospital I'm sure except to charge me an enormous fee and tell me to go home sit down and wait it out. But thanks for taking the time to read an respond

Is there an advice nurse line you can call through your insurance so you can talk to a nurse and then they can tell you whether or not you should try to see a doctor? I think you need to talk to someone, even if they just tell you that they can't do anything, at least you know you tried...
good luck!

Maybe you should go to the hospital...they could probably do an ultrasound to see if there is a heartbeat...I know you said you were five weeks, but they should be able to tell if something is there. I hope you get some news one way or another. I know it's upsetting...Please keep us posted.

I too think it is a good idea to go to the dr even at a clinic or urgent care center. They can do a blood test to test your hcg levels to see where they are at. I believe the counts are supposed to be at certain numbers depending on your week of pregnancy.

I would try a urgent care center.

Can you just call your old doctor during office hours just to get advice about what you should do in your new location (i.e. go to er, wait it out, etc.)? At least they will know you. I'm really sorry you are in such a scary situation. Please keep us posted. Prayers to you!
