I am trying to put together a CD of songs for my best friend who is turning 40. (she is married with kids so no songs about singles...lol). I don't care what type of music, just has to be appropriate for the occasion. Any suggestions?

How about the #1 song from 1966 (you could even get specific to the #1 billboard song the week she was born) and then songs from her childhood? *

Or are you looking more for songs about age or ageing? * Off the top of my head the only great one that comes to mind is "This One's For the Girls" By Martina McBride...

Yeah, I am more looking for songs on ageing. You are right on track with "this ones for the girls".

"Time Marches On" *by Tim McGraw is a really good one.

I made a picture slide show CD for my mom for Mother's day last year and used it for pictures of her getting older.
