He'd never say it to anyone else, but I know he likes that I'm quiet and innocent during the day, but not so much at night <wink>

I say he's got a real catch! I am so happy to hear he appreciates what he has!

That is funny - we were just having this discussion last night as I was munching on celery and red pepper strips while he had a scotch and some sunflower seeds. I was complaining about how slowly my efforts were going (trying to lose those last stubborn 8 pounds) and he looked at me and said "why are you doing this? Where do you want to lose from? You look gorgeous! Your butt is perfect, your legs are perfect, you have a super flat stomach, you have no saddlebags, and your arms and shoulders are so toned. I think you should go back to wearing bikinis and stop being so self conscious." It really made me stop and think. I am my own worst critic for sure.

Recently DH and I filled out questionaires about each other. This was to help us see each other clearly and to help the counselor with our problems. There was one question on there that asked if you could change one thing about your spouse what would it be? I thought of course he would say for me to lose weight. I asked what he put and he said that I would be healed of my depression. I was shocked. He didn't ask me what I put.
Part of me wondered if he would put lose weight because we are both overweight. I put I would like for him to be able to grow a goatee. His is alright but the part that connects from the mustache to the goatee he can't grow. I know, go ahead and laugh. It is sorta crazy.
But that was my wish.

You're welcome
Dh tells me, jokingly, I'm his trophy wife. He says that because I cut myself up so much. That is his way, I think, to try and make me shut up.
If I come out of the bathroom after showering with only a towel on, he tells me all the time that "that look works for you". !!! LOL
He also likes to encourage me when I'm on a work out kick (like recently) that I am "looking hot".
But in all honesty, despite my efforts to perk up my physical appearance, he always always always thanks me for my endless support, dedication, and for my job well done with the kids! That means more to me than all the other grab a$$'ing!!!!! And I do know and believe that we are a team. He certainly makes me feel that way and always tells me he wouldn't be able to do the things in life he wants to or has done, without me as his cheerleader!!!

I am really hard on myself because of my weight, but my husband says he loves me just the way I am. He says I'm beautiful, which I can't see. That's always good to hear, even when I don't believe it myself!

You know...if I were to go to my dh and ask, he'd roll his eyes at me because thinks I'm just supposed to know what he thinks. I do know these things:
He thinks I'm a good mother
He thinks I'm good at stretching a dime into a dollar
He thinks I'm extremely talented and constantly urges me to find my "niche" and go into some sort of business for myself (he's a work-for-yourself kinda guy)
He says he thinks I'm beautiful...like brandk916, it's nice to hear although I don't believe it
He once used the phrase, "You complete me" in a card he gave me...I just wonder what he was missing that I filled in and if it was the good parts or the bad parts!?!? LOL!!

Firstly, beauty is in the eye of the beholder....and since we are all married to these guys girls......we must have something to knock 'em dead!!!! Wouldn't you rather know that he feels that way about you, instead of feeling the same way you do about yourself?
Secondly, Martha, you slay me!!! Maybe you are the GOOD parts and he's all the bad!!! LOL
