DH hasn't worn that ring since we got married. He hates jewelry.

You betcha....15 years this november...he too feels naked without it.

Gotta wonder - why do some of you take it off to shower? That is when my ring gets cleaned!

My dh does not wear his ring, not ever, we came home from our Honeymoon, (we got married in '98) he took if off and has only worn it once since and that was for another wedding that we were both in a few months after our wedding. The reason he doesn't wear it is because he does a lot of mechanical work and climbs in and out of big trucks and tractors all the time. Just a few months ago he had to take one of his co-workers to the ER because his wedding ring got caught on something when he was climbing out of a big truck, He had to have his finger amputated. So, I have never once told him he HAD to wear it, I know it would be dangerous for him to do so. Also, he doesn't need a ring on his finger to remind him that he's married, lol!!

However, if he did work in an office or someplace where wearing a ring would be safe, I would like for him to wear it.

BTW, I do wear MY wedding rings all the time.

Mine only takes his off to clean it. I always wear mine too. Actually, I don't even think I could get it off without making my finger bleed!

My husband ALWAYS wears his ring, unless he works on the car, takes it off because he broke it once before because his ring got stuck in something.
He always wears it other then that.
But even if he didn't for whatever reason, I know he loves me, with or without the ring, I am not worried about him taking it off for woman, since he is always home with me, and if we go out, we go out together.

And I have never been the diamond ring kind of gal, I would be just as happy with a 20 dollar ring, its not the ring that makes a marriage, its the love between two people that makes a marriage.

My DH does wear his wedding band. I know plenty of married people, men and women, that do not, for whatever reason. I wouldn't have a problem if DH didn't want to wear his ring, my father never wore a wedding ring, it's not unusual in my mind.

Some people don't even do rings, they will have eachothers names tatoo'd(sp?) on the ring finger.

I know alot of man who hate wearing any kind of jewelry.

Me personally is so used to wearing it, that I feel naked without it, like walking around with no underwear. LOL!!!
