HI

A good friend and I were discussing how to take care of babys nails like newborns. I used fingernail clippers and my friend bit her childs nails.

What did you do???

I used fingernail clippers, and she's used to them now, so she doesn't put up a fight when I need to clip her nails now as a toddler.

I use fingernail clippers and my dd is 3 months. I tried the safety baby ones and I hated them. It is so much easier to see what I'm doing and get it right with regular clippers. I do it while she is pre occupied with something else so she isn't so wiggly.

I used regular nail clippers on my ds.

Biting your kids nails sounds a bit gross to me!!

I used the clippers for both from the very first trim, so they are very used to them. My aunt bit her DD nails b/c everytime she used the clippers she went too far down OUCH!

I always used the clippers. Neither of my boys has a problem getting their nails trimmed. Not sure but I would think biting them off could lead to infection if skin around the nail was bit.

I used clippers. I can't imagine biting my babies nails!!! ICK!! Plus that teaches them bad habits.

I always used clippers and I did it when I was nursing, or when she was sleeping.
