Default Have you become more conscious of where your goods are made?

The posts about the metal pieces in the imported lollipops got me thinking...after all the recalls of foreign (mainly Chinese) goods lately, are you becoming more conscious of where the things you buy are made? Do you seek out domestic products? Do you avoid buying things made in certain countries? To what extent does it affect your shopping?

With the toys being recalled for lead, the pet food, the cribs, and now the candy...it scares me a little bit. I'll admit, I really try to avoid buying anything for him that was made in China. DH tells me I'm being paranoid (and I probably am!) At first it was just the baby's things I was concerned about, but now I'm starting to think about other household things as well.

Anyone else as paranoid as I am?

I, whenever possible buy American made products. My second choice is anything but China. I have sworn off buying anything from the dollar store or anything that is made that cheap.
