Do you have vanity plates for your car? Dh does, and although it is un-frugal and extravagant, I will be getting them too. I'm just having the hardest time thinking up what I want on there. I am a Montessori mom, but if I put the abbreviation of our Montessori and the word 'Mom' on there I'm afraid it would look, I don't know, ostentatious or something (to the other parents at our school).

How do you decide on what to put on yours? Do you have a code name that no one else but you and others that know you well will know what your plate means? Is it a key to your personality? Highlight a hobby?

We have volunteer firefighter plates on our vehicles, but you can't customize them.

I wouldn't know what to put on mine, either. The ones I dislike are the ones I can't figure out what they mean, lol!

I wanted them for a long time, and I wanted "BONNIE" on them, well then, of course, I was driving up to Kent(OH) one day, and there right in front of me was a car with "BONNIE" already on the plate, and since there was NO way I was going to be "Bonnie2" or something like that, I gave up the idea!!

I usually prefer to remain anonymous, I don't put bumper stickers, window clings or anything identifying on my car.

My parents & my Aunt have vanity plates, they are initials & number combo's that mean something to THEM, but probably wouldn't make any sense to anyone else!

My mom is a clown.. no really she is.. So her's is her clown name.. Rosebud

I had one in college Nala * Lion King, nickname from a boyfriend.. Dh said 'that has to go' when we started dating. Now my issued plate is bjq 123 and my gfs have a BAD reference to remember that.. But it works, I will never forget it.

Mine says 666*PMS

No one ever cuts me off in traffic - I wonder why....

just joking Ha Ha. I don't have them because I wouldn't know what to put! But I can see how it would be helpful as I have a very common car in these parts and a pretty basic color. Plus, when I have to give my license number (hotels, etc) I always have to go look because I can't remember it. So, I see the merit of it -

NH is known for having the most customized plates per capita, or something close to it. It seems like every other car has one. We don't, but I've seen some great ones!! My three favorites are:

NOSUP4U

and, on a black Toyota Matrix -- REDPILL

Oh, and if you're a Christian, you'll appreciate this one on our friends' Honda Accord -- N1ACCORD
