The NICU is a roller coaster and is so scary but keep in mind that premature baby girls tend to do better than boys. The fact that she is breathing some on her own is a really good sign.

Another suggestion for them is if they have to pay for parking at the hospital, it can get very expensive. Our hospital gave us a long term pass so that we wouldn't have that burden on top of spending 18 hours a day with our babies. If they don't do that, maybe everyone could chip in and buy them parking passes.

I will pray for their little one and strength for both of them.

They will be going to the hospital every single day and won't have much time for cooking. Most premies come home around their due date, so you can expect her to be home around the time she would have been born.
Crankymom...that is an EXCELLENT idea about the restaurant gift certifcates!! I will pass that on the extended family. Thank you so very much!

Thank you for the idea about parking pass. I know Children's Mercy charges to park but not sure if they have passes. I will check on that. Thank you!!
