Yesterday I noticed that my fridge was making this whirring "whaaaaa" sound (compressor, I'm thinking...) and that the food inside wasn't very cold. I turned it up, it stopped making that sound and kicked back on, and everything cooled down again. Well, by late afternoon it was acting up again, so I called my landlord. After the repairman came, and told me that he wouldn't be able to get the part for it until at least Monday, my landlord brought over a key to another apartment where he said I could store my food until it was fixed. So, I had to carry 10 paper grocery bags of food (from the fridge and freezer) over to another apartment yesterday...yay...

It wasn't fun, to say the least, but at least my food wasn't ruined. I had just bought: 6 lbs. of bacon, 4lbs. of hamburger, 3 ribeyes, a huge package of chicken, a package of pork chops, a package of polish sausage, a gallon of milk, and 6 Tombstone pizzas too!! Man, would I have cried if all of THAT would have been spoiled!!

To make this all the MORE fun, the winds here right now are at 24mph and we have gusts to 42mph!! and I have to go over to the other apartment in a minute to get something to fix for supper!!

I keep telling myself "It could be worse...it could be worse.....you could be living out of a cooler!!"
