My husband says if prices go up much more, he won't be able to afford to go to work! We average $450-$500 a month between gas and tolls. It's absolutely heartbreaking and leaves no room for anything extra. And get this, they're talking about raising the toll prices AGAIN! The thought of him having to quit this job because we can't afford the gas to get there is beyond ridiculous.

This is us too. DH spends about $420 every month just in gas ~160mi RT to work & back~ (luckily we have no tolls)! We are crossing our fingers that he will get to work from home soon because at the rate it's going, he isn't going to be able to afford to work there anymore ~ and lord knows we can't afford for him not too

I just paid 2.98 at Costco. For folks who keep wondering whether or not a Costco membership is worth it, if you have one near you w/ a gas station - definately yes!

The lowest I have seen around here is 3.11. The average is 3.16 and the highest I saw it was 3.19. This is crazy and they are saying it should be up to around $4 this summer. I hope not. I'm glad my husbands truck in finally getting broken in because he is starting to get better gas mileage.
