I finally posted in the baby forum to announce the birth of our 2nd son, Skye Liam! He was born on 3/4 and was 9 lbs., 13 oz. and 22" long! He is beautiful and he and his big brother are pulling us all through some hard times.

We found out the day after Skye was born that my dad has breast cancer. He will be having a total masectomy on Thursday and I would like to ask for prayers and good thoughts from all of you. There is a good chance that the lump that was removed was all there was of the cancer and that it was caught very early so we are holding that in our thoughts. My uncle (on the other side) was diagnosed with brain cancer last week as well and it will be a much tougher road for him. As you can imagine, my emotions have been ALL over the place but my beautiful boys and great husband are getting me through. I have not even been able to post any of this until now- and I really appreciate any prayers and well wishes that people can offer. Thank you.

I'll be keeping you in my prayers!! I am so sorry to hear the difficult news.
Last October my Mom was going through radiation for skin cancer. It is very much a tough road, but it amazes me how strong our loved ones can be in these times!
Stay strong, your loved ones are so lucky to have you with them through this time!

I will say a prayer. I know how scary it is to have family members with cancer. I am so sorry that you and your family are going through this. Congratulations on your new baby! Cute name!!
