It wasn't bad at all and I had all 4 done at once and I was awake the whole time with no sedative (only freezing). The only thing I found disturbing was the sound but you'll be asleep so you'll be fine.

I had all four of mine done at the same time....you will be fine. Did they give you something to take to calm your nerves?? I want to say they gave me a valium or something to take before hand...but mine was 10 years ago. Good luck, you will be ok!!

you will be fine!! don't panic, it's just going to make you more nervous. When i had widsom teeth removed, all i felt was some pressure! not a big deal at all. oh, and they didn't knock me out to do it, so if they are giving you an IV to put you to sleep for a bit, you shouldn't feel a thing! Good luck!

I'm a complete dental-phobe, but this was an easy one for me. They knocked me out with gas, no IV. Perhaps they can use gas for you if you are worried about the IV? I don't like IVs either, so the gas was the better option for me.

I hope things went well for you.

I had mine done a week before I got married. I knew I couldn't go on a honeymoon in the pain I was in so out they had to come. I got a valium before and they used a local since the gas gives me a splitting headache. It was done in just a few minutes and I was only out of work one day. The weird thing was the holes in my mouth. It took awhile for them to close.

yeah all went well just like all of you said i had to take these 2 pills he had given me 2hrs prior to my appt. they were something like valium, so the ride there my dh was just laughing at me cause i went from panicky to really mello and silly , once i got there they put this thing over my nose to breathe in and that made me sleepy and not to aware of what was going on, then the iv, i really could not fell it or cared at that point, then ,y dh kissed me on my forehead and went to wait in waiting room till it was done (which was only 30 min.) i dont remember anything else, not even the drive home, although my dh stopped at starbucks acrossed from dr to get me a carmel latte(i had no food or drink since midnight the night before) then we stopped to get my meds, then he picked me up some cheese brocoli soup from Quiznos followed by a strawberry smoothie i told him i should do this more often anyways went totally fine i am so so releived and now dont have to wait for the sharp pains to come back cause those 2 teeth are gone
