Does he like any sports? One year I got my DH tickets to go see the Panthers with 5 of his buddies. He really enjoyed it.

My dh is an audiophile, but there is NO WAY I would buy him something. I would get the wrong thing for sure. How about a gift certificate to best buy or something? Or a trip away with the kids if you think he would like that?

its hard to plan anything with his job (mgr for ups) like last night he wanted to watch the football game but worked until midnight and then from home until 4am.... there is never any telling if he has to work late or not...

What about a couple massage? I got a package for my dh birthday and he LOVED it.

My DH likes massages - so a gift cert for one. He is daring? How much money do you want to spend? For my 30th b-day I went sky diving. For DH's I bought him lessons at a Speedway (they use stock cars with govenors). He had a blast.

Does he need any tools? Wet/dry vac, power washer, something on those lines? Sometimes I buy him the "manly" things that I know I will use more than him, LOL

Get him a nice silver necklace. A nice thick one.
Or get him a gift certif for Home Depot or Lowes.
A new electric shaver.

Take him to have a nice dinner, for my 30th b-day I took my bf to strip joints in San Francisco. It was memorable...lol

A just the 2 of you weekend if you both can get the vacation time
Love the couples massage idea
A nice picture of you and the kids
A not so nice picture of just you
A weekend without any of his normal chores
Shoping spree to his favorite place

Just a few ideas. We did a Speedway thing for FIL, like Cheesecake Lady suggested and it was a huge hit!!!

I sent my dh 30 black balloons, at work, on his 30th b-day, lol!! This year he turns 40, on Oct 31. I was going to have a Halloween/b-day party for him but he said NO WAY, partypooper!!

I like the massage idea, my dh would probably like that too.
