they are being put in today! I'm so excited! We went for some good ones, they fold in for cleaning, have tinted glass that will keep my cool in summer, warm in winter, and they are new!!

The windows in this old house are about 50 years old and NASTY. So it was about time. My front window doesn't even have windows that open, and a huge crack. They are a bit pricey, but dh and I talked about it and decided it was time to do something for US and the house. We have put stuff off long enough and we are finnally out of the 'hole' enough to afford it.

they should be here any minute!! I need to get moving around here!

We did too, but I have a problem! My windows are floor to celling and my arms are way to short for them. When I fold them in to clean the outside, my arms won't reach!

So I have to go out and climb the ladder anyway! Oh well, at least the new windows look nice!

We replaced all the windows, skylights, and sliding glass door a couple of years ago, too. Our 40-year-old aluminum ones were single pane and got wet and moldy. Yuck! The new, double pane ones really do keep the house warmer and cooler, depending on the season. And, they slide open and closed much easier. Mine don't flip in/out for cleaning. But they're easy to completely pop out from the inside (but I rarely do that). The floor to ceiling length windows, as well as skylights, I leave for dh to clean

Congrats to you! You're going to love them!

thanks!!!

And the guy who sold them to me reminded me today too (I knew this but I forgot) that they are tax deductable! WIN/WIN! LOL

they look great.I'm just SO happy that we finnally did it for us and the house. We've been here 6 years and its a major fixer upper that we keep putting off. I'm so thrilled. And with all the money I'm saving on oil, I'll put toward my payments. LOL
