My dh and I had a financial talk on Sunday. Fun stuff I know.. So to make it short and sweet. I told him with the money I am alotted I am having a hard time making ends meet. He said how much more $ do you need.. I said it wasn't just a dollar figure, but when I ask for an extra $20 for Tball or $30 for gas..

So he comes home today and says "I've been thinking: if you want more $ your going to have to do more"

So I say.. "Forget it, I don't want any money and you can do all the work!" I turned and walked away.. But not until I saw his mouth hit the floor..

hehehehe... There was $20 on the counter when he left to go back to work.

Good for you for not putting up with that! What's this idea that men have that we don't do enough, or in some cases, anything?!?! It's such crap!

I had something similar happen. We have 2 checking accounts and when mine(which pays the bills) is getting low I tell him that I need to deposit some money. A couple months ago I told him that my acct was getting low and he wondered where all of the money went that he just gave me a couple weeks prior. Disgustingly, I told him to take both checkbooks and he can take care of everything. He quickly apologized and I haven't heard a word about money since. He's very quick to offer me cash now. It's been a total turn around.

good for you... i do the bills and take care of the money here so we don't have that problem..lol

Good for you!!! With my DH's part-time sales associate job he gets paid every 2 weeks with that, so he always gives me what he calls, get this? 'An Allowance' his way of being funny. He doesn't mean anything by it, so I don't get offended but he can be such a dork at times!!

I know I hate that!! Sam use to use that same crap (that I barely did anything since I use to be a SAHM) and he did not understand that being a SAHM was a full time job itself. BUT after I had my second child (Brooke) and he had to stay at home with Alani (cook for her, give her a bath, made sure she got to daycare in one piece and not look a HOT mess!!!) he from then on respected me for what I did including going to work and doing all the mommy duties. Since now that he makes more I am like OK if I have to do most of the house work (because I know he works hard as a Automotive tech) I am like whenever I need money he better not ask me "what for" and he doesn't.
